Surah Al-Kahf highlights the deception created by four major trials (fitnah):
- Belief โ The People of the Cave, who had to leave their homeland to protect their faith when their society changed and disbelief (kufr) and corruption (fasad) became the norm.
- Wealth โ The two men and their gardens, where one attributed his wealth to Allah while the other boasted that it was entirely of his own making.
- Knowledge โ Prophet Musa (Moses) and his journey with Al-Khidr, through which he learned that human knowledge is limited and that he does not know everything in this world.
- Power โ Dhul-Qarnayn, to whom Allah granted great power. Yet, he remained obedient to Allah, ruled justly on Earth, and built a wall to contain the oppressors (Gog & Magog).
These are the four core lessons taught in Surah Al-Kahf to protect oneself from deception.
Unfortunately, this world is engulfed by all four deceptions today.
People thrive in a society filled with corruption and disbelief, while boasting of their wealth with show-off arrogance, priding themselves on their knowledge through science and AI, and misusing power to oppress others.
Thus, Gog & Magog cannot be any animals or other creation except humans because humans are the one being capable of spreading corruption on this Earth today.
And we witness this reality unfolding right before our eyes!
