Qadr — The Divine Decree!

It has always been the Qadr of an individual that brings about monumental changes in this world. The fascinating part of Qadr is that we can never truly know or be sure of it until it manifests!

The Qadr of Allah — The Return of Justice on Earth after all the oppression!

Prophet Ibrahim (ʿalayhi s-salām) never knew he would father two children, Ishmael and Isaac, at an age when people assume life is winding down. Yet, by divine decree, Ishmael was born when Ibrahim was 86, and Isaac followed when he was 100. From their lineages came an entire succession of Prophets.

Prophet Yusuf (ʿalayhi s-salām) never knew, when he was thrown by his own brothers into a well in the wilderness of Canaan, that he would be rescued and eventually become a chief minister in the royal court of Egypt. That was his Qadr.

Prophet Musa (ʿalayhi s-salām) never imagined that after fleeing Egypt because a man died by his hand, he would return to bring about the downfall of Pharaoh. But it was the divine decree; he defeated Pharaoh’s magicians and ultimately led his people across the miraculously parted Red Sea by the will of Allah.

Prophet Dawood (ʿalayhi s-salām), as a young shepherd boy, never knew he would bring down the giant Goliath with a single stone and go on to become a great King—until that divine decree actually took place.

Likewise, Prophet Muhammad (ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) only realized at the age of 40 that he was the Final Seal of all the Prophets, chosen by Allah to guide the whole of mankind.

Ultimately, no one knows what has been destined and decreed for them until it unfolds by the will of Allah. We can anticipate it, but its reality can only be truly tasted once its time arrives!
