Whatever knowledge I have gained till date is only by the mercy of our Creator, Allah. We know that Torah was sent to Musa (Moses) and Injil (Gospel) was sent to Esa (Jesus), may peace be upon both of them. They both were prophets and mighty messengers of Allah, and so we love them and cherish them. The miracles what they did were many and they were able to carry it out, only due to Allah’s will & permission.
When Moses was on this earth, Allah gave him a task to convey the message of truth to worship One Lord and His commandments to the children of Israel and those who used to follow them were known as Jews. But then, like it was always meant to be, Allah has kept all His messages that he sent on this earth time-bound. So each messenger was sent with a message, to be given to the people of that time, on which they had to follow to achieve the true success i.e. Paradise. Each prophet that He sent, out of that some were messengers who got a new message from Allah and many were just prophets who followed the way of the messengers who came prior to them. And the message was always the same –
❝ There is only One God and there is none worthy of worship except Our Creator who created all of us. ❞
So we see that Jesus came on this earth to confirm what was brought by Moses, the Torah and then he taught about the Gospel. As with all messengers the message was always the same except the way of life changed from time to time based on the wisdom of Allah alone. So Jesus asked the children of Israel to believe in One God-Allah, to believe in him as the messenger and in the message that he has got and to obey him to achieve the true success of paradise.
There were Jews who accepted Jesus and began following him. But there were also many who rejected and remained as Jews. Among them there were those who had tampered what they got from Moses and that has been followed as a norm by many till date. Sadly that is what we see in all of the religions today. People tend to mix from their own whims and fancies to benefit their own ulterior motives. They think that they are very smart to fool people but no matter whom they fool they cannot fool our Maker coz He knows what’s hidden and what’s evident. He knows everything what happens in our hearts!
And among those who accepted Jesus came to be known as Christians. But then, like as I said before, every message was time-bound. Thus, Jesus had informed his disciples about the coming of a man named Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) who would be the comforter. And for this to take place he has to leave so that Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) can come as the last and the final messenger with a new book and message from Allah. But this time, the message was for the whole of mankind and not just to the Arabs or the Children of Israel. This message, today we know it as Quran and those who believed in this Book of Allah and obeyed the prophet came to be known as Muslims to this world; when in fact all the prophets from the time of Adam were actually Muslims – one who submits his will to Allah!
And when Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) came, he also confirmed about Jesus and all the other previous prophets about whom Allah has revealed in the Qur’an, from Adam to Noah to Abraham to Ishmael to Isaac to Jacob to Joseph to Moses to David to Jonah to Jesus to Mohammad. Let me remind again, that each of the prophets were all Muslims coz Muslim means one who submits to the will of Allah and they all were submitters to Allah. Among all of them, 25 prophets have been mentioned by name in the Qur’an. I have penned few names here, and there are many more prophets and messengers which Allah sent to each and every clan and community on this earth with the message of truth – One God only!
But just like before, not all accepted what prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) got, so out of them some accepted and became Muslims and rest remained either Christians, Jews and other faiths in this world all around!
Hope you can understand what am trying to say, that among the Jews few believed in Jesus and many didn’t. And in the same way when Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) came few believed and many didn’t believe!
People differ in their view points and differ with their beliefs, and so it is up to each one of us to find out and seek for the truth with our intellect and find out what our scriptures say. We believe in all the prophets and messengers of Allah and so we believe in all the scriptures that they got with them. But sadly the scriptures were tampered with and so Allah with His wisdom choose prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), the best of mankind to be the last prophet and the messenger.
And because he is the last messenger and prophet, Allah has taken the onus on Himself to not to allow the Qur’an to be tampered with. And so, for this day the Quran is the same from the time of prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and will be so till the journey of this world gets complete, till the last man sets his foot on this earth and each and every person tastes death. He sent with him a complete message as a gift and a way of life to live on this earth which will please Our Maker, only if we live according to His commands and laws.
So this is the belief of a true believer: Believes only in One God, believes in all His Angels, believes in all His Messengers, believes in all His Scriptures, believes in the Qadr (what Allah has decreed) and believes in the day of judgement.
And as per the Hadith of our prophet , we know that Jesus will return back to this world in the end times, to claim what is true and false . To claim that the Jews and the Romans never killed him and it was only by the will of Allah that He was lifted up. And he will also claim to the Christians that he is not son of God but just a slave and servant of Allah. And he will follow what prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) has got and will live his life as a normal man by getting married. Ultimately, he will die on this earth just like a normal man. All these have been confirmed in the Quran and from the Hadith of the prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم).
Anyways I will leave it until here. To believe or not is your choice. As Deen or religion is not by compulsion but by choice!
I know we differ but don’t get disappointed. Let’s agree to disagree and wait till the truth is revealed by Jesus himself, if we all are alive till then. Or we can use our intellect to find the truth ourselves and seek for the mercy of our Creator. And if that doesn’t work, then will surely know wen we reach our graves but that will be the most disappointing thing to know, coz we won’t be able to do anything then!
My evidence interpreted in English as:
(Quran chapter 4)
Verse 157 – And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah .” And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.
Verse 158 – Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.
Verse 159 – And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness.
Verse 171 – O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, “Three”; desist – it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.
(Quran 43:61)
And indeed, Jesus will be [a sign for] knowledge of the Hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow Me. This is a straight path.
(Quran 3:55)
And (remember) when Allah said: ‘O Eesa (Jesus)! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that ‘Eesa (Jesus) is Allah’s son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (monotheists, who worship none but Allah) superior to those who disbelieve [in the oneness of Allah, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, or in His Holy Books] till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute.
(Quran 5:116-117)
And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): ‘O ‘Esa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?’ He will say: ‘Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner‑self though I do not know what is in Yours; truly, You, only You, are the All‑Knower of all that is hidden (and unseen).
Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allah) did command me to say: Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them; and You are a Witness to all things.
I end my write-up here.
With peace – مع السلامة
May Allah bless and guide us all by His mercy alone to the truth and the straight path!
