It’s very important to get an answer to this question coz today people think that one should not call others to the truth but only should practice the Deen for themselves. They say that one should focus more on the worldly life and their jobs alone and not completely practice one’s faith and submit to Allah alone.

They do not like when they are called towards the truth and the haq. They do not like to be made aware of their mistakes coz they say it hurts them when they are shown the mirror. They are all happy to be living comfortably in their contumacy in this worldly life.

And so they take things for granted and say when Allah gives hidhaya we will follow, till then don’t bother. It’s like as if they think that if Allah needs them, He will make them to practice Islam completely.

My dear brothers and sisters wake up and understand this properly in your rationale minds that Allah doesn’t need us, we need Him. We are at His mercy for whatever we are in this world, even moving an inch is by His mercy. Drinking a drop of water is also because of His mercy on us. So never throw such a laid back attitude of yours coz by doing that you are harming yourselves and withdrawing the mercy of Allah on you.

And wouldn’t you want to know what Allah says about such kind of people and what is the result of theirs. Let me be clear do not for even a second assume that I have decided for you where you are headed coz that would be an immature statement and a false accusation on me. Whatever I am going to state is what Allah has mentioned in His Holy Book. And I am just merely carrying over His message which He sent through the blessed messenger (ﷺ). And with regards to where you will end up that knowledge lies only with Allah and no one else. So do not come and accuse me for your short comings rather look within, recognize the error, accept the fact and work on it!

So Allah says to His messenger (ﷺ) to inform people about the greatest losers in terms of their deeds. These are those who are completely lost in the worldly life and they think only about achieving success in this life, in terms of getting degrees or getting jobs or promotions or earning money more and more and so are quite busy with such things that they fail to understand or do not want to understand that their main abode is in the hereafter and this world is just a journey.

They have taken this life as a parameter to judge among each other, who is successful and who is not based on the money & degrees they earn. The irony is that they run the rat race of this life and then boast of it. And wen they get success in this wordly life they feel so proud of their achievements and begin to feel they are doing well in their lives. But they don’t realize that they are just being deceived by the glamour and grandeur of this life. They are so lost that even a child is not spared. When a child is born they think more about what he or she must become in future – be it a doctor or techie or lawyer or politician, and hardly pay attention to how they can teach their kids to please Allah. This is sad but the true fact of our lives today.

Such people only utter by lips that they believe in Allah but their actions deny the verses of their Lord and the Sunan of the prophet (ﷺ). They not even for once actually think that they have to meet their Lord and so we should prepare for it. Even if they get a thought it’s overcome by the deception and delusion of this life. So they are all busy preparing for their worldly life; to build a big house, to buy a car, to have a lavish wedding and have so much money only to show off to others-that look we are better than you!

I know there will be many who do not understand or do not want to understand, what I say. And so they will take it otherwise and retort at me by asking me to leave everything and go to a jungle to spend my life. This is such a statement that only portrays how they have mentally grown or their hatred within is so much that it blinds their eyes. So let me get this straight that wen I say, it doesn’t mean you cannot have good things in this life. You can have all that which is permissible and that which Allah has bestowed to you through His mercy but what I mean to say is that don’t make it as the only focus in life and forget the hereafter. Coz life is not guaranteed, yet we prepare so much for it but death which is guaranteed, we don’t even blink to prepare for it!

So Allah says such people who think that they have done lots of good deeds but they never believed completely in the verses of Allah and implemented it in their lives; all their good deeds what they do will become worthless. And no matter what high lofty positions they might have had in this life, on the day of resurrection they won’t have any importance. And Allah clearly mentions that their recompense is Hell because they denied and took His signs and His messengers as a joke. When a person reminds you what is right and wrong as per Allah and His Rasool (ﷺ), you mocked at that person coz he reminded you of what’s right and wrong. You might have in your arrogance denied the verses of the Quran or the sunan of the prophet (ﷺ). You look for ways to deny or not follow, so you check online if you can find any scholar who speaks like you in your favor and then adopt that. These are all signs of arrogance and Allah hates arrogance.

And Allah gives glad tidings to those who have understood the meaning of this life, prepare for the hereafter and do deeds to please Allah. For them Allah will grant the gardens of paradise wherein they will abide eternally without need of going anywhere else!

Lastly I would only say, as long as what you are doing is halal and enjoying life the way it has been made permissible for us by Allah and we focus on preparing for the hereafter and remind people of the truth, then that is more than enough. You don’t need to do anything extravagant. U need to realize that time is running and so we all are in a great loss except those who have absolute belief in Allah and do righteous deeds and prepare for hereafter and then call people towards truth and bear patience by calling out to Allah. This is the core message of Islam. And one who has understood this and implemented it, then he has done that what he was sent for in this world!

May Allah guide us all to the path which leads to the garden that He has prepared for us.‎

(Quran Surah Al Kahf 18:103-108)
Say, [O Muhammad], “Shall we [believers] inform you of the greatest losers as to [their] deeds?(103)

[They are] those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work.”(104)

Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any importance.(105)

That is their recompense – Hell – for what they denied and [because] they took My signs and My messengers in ridicule.(106)

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – they will have the Gardens of Paradise as a lodging,(107)

Wherein they abide eternally. They will not desire from it any transfer.(108)

By time! Indeed, mankind is in loss,
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
